Attending & speaking at the Learning Consortium in Ontario, CA , demonstrates the value and changing environment we live in for blended learning opportunities. The conference was blended, being held online and in a traditional classroom setting. The presentations were geared around the changes that Social Learning and now tools, such as Social Networking can provide a great medium for delivery and interactivity.
The convergence of learning and performance are critical. According to the U.S. government, an estimated 77 million workers will leave the workforce in the next few years. This challenge means a reduction from 6-10 percent of our workforce by 2010. As these workers exit, they will take years of experience and knowledge with them, unless we begin to realize easier means of capturing this intellectual capital through email integration, "Ask the Expert" workflow and easy to use wiki-based knowledge repositories for collecting and sharing information which CustomerVision has to offer.
By combining performance and learning an organization can solve learning initiatives creatively while improving skills and competencies using blended learning skills and tools like CustomerVision.
